Lincoln Paint-A-Thon Brand Creation
I worked with the new non-profit event organizers of Lincoln Paint-A-Thon to create a fresh identity. It has been several years since the event had happened, so the reboot needed a logo and some design direction help get it off the ground.
I came up with a variety of design concepts, and the board decided to proceed with my “infinity brush” design. I think the mark has a unique and playful quality while avoiding tired “community” and “helping” type design trends. After refining the mark, I worked out a type lockup that is refined and official looking without being heavy or unfriendly.
I also created a number of ideas for volunteer t-shirts for the event. Each year they might use a different design, or use the same design with different color print and shirt.
